Coronavirus

With regards to the growing concerns around the COVID-19 virus, here at Buchanan & Co we take the safety of our employees and clients very seriously and would like to inform you of the procedures we will be putting into place to help contain the virus as we move through the different stages. Some of the below points will only be put into place should the threat level increase, however, we will keep the situation under review but will be acting on guidance from the Government.

In the event that we have staffing difficulties, we will be maintaining an email contact facility during normal office hours.

Conveyancing

It is our aim to continue to provide this service so to least affect the smooth flow of your property transaction. We do ask you to remember that we are only part of the process and cannot legislate for other professionals involved in the process. In the event that this department has staffing difficulties, we will be maintaining an email contact facility during normal office hours.

Appointments

We are maintaining a vigilant approach to the threat and will remain open unless we receive a directive from the Government to the contrary. As we are in full swing with the March Free Will campaign, it is our plan to remain open to service the demand, to continue to provide a prompt and efficient service. We have put into place cleaning and disinfecting procedures to try to maintain a safe, sterile environment to provide a degree of reassurance to our clients that any risk is low. We would ask for your cooperation with these procedures.

We may have to arrange for our staff to work from home and if this is the case, we hope to be able to have Skype available for virtual appointments or telephone appointments.

Visitors

We will be speaking with each client on arriving at our premises to confirm they have not visited any of the high-risk countries recently and to confirm they do not currently have any signs of the virus, to try and reduce risk of any illness spreading.

We hope by putting the above in place we are helping to contain the virus as well as continuing to run the business with minimal disruption.
