Worksop Sea Cadets

How does the Free Will offer work?

Many people are suspicious of the word ‘free’ but any extra costs if ours are up front. If you are a single client, we ask for a donation to the Sea Cadets of £95.00, and for couples, £150.00 but of course if you want to donate more that is up to you. In return for this donation we will write your basic Will free of charge. This includes your details, your chosen Executors and Trustees, Beneficiaries e.g. siblings, children etc. and your method of dispatch. If you Will is deemed to be complex, any extra charges will be set out at the beginning for you.

As previously mentioned, we will store your Will for life, for no charge.

If you would like any further information please contact us on 01246471900. We have appointments available throughout September for both offices and there is free parking.

Who are the Worksop Sea Cadets?

They are part of the UK’s largest maritime youth charity. The Cadets learn various skills including sailing and can also earn qualifications in a range of areas. Their purpose is ‘to celebrate Britain’s maritime heritage and contribute to its future development by supporting young people as Sea Cadets’.

Who can join?

There are junior cadets for children aged 10-12, Sea Cadets aged 12-18 and the Royal Marines Cadets aged 13-18. It is important for young people to take part in a wide range of activities and here at Buchanan & Co we want to help to provide the opportunities for them by raising money.

What does making a Will involve?

  • Firstly, you will have a consultation with our Estate Planner, Alex Gibbons, whom will ask questions about yourselves and your circumstances. He will make any suggestions which are beneficial to you and your estate, but if you just want a basic Will this is entirely up to you. Once you have confirmed your instructions, work will commence immediately on your matters however if you are unsure you are welcome to go away and have a discussion and come back to us.
  • Secondly, we will create your draft Wills and send them to you for you to check over.
  • Thirdly, you will return for a second appointment to sign off your Wills and any other documents which you have instructed us to prepare. We will provide you with a copy of your signed Will and we will store the original in our safe for life, for free as part of the September campaign.
  • Lastly, you will receive your Certainty certificate from us after we register your Will online shortly after signing.

And it’s as simple as that! Making a Will doesn’t have to be scary.
